Wakü Lodge focuses on garbage and community. They recycle organic trash to be used as fertilizer, collect fallen branches from the trees for cooking. Also, they employ Pemon people to guide travellers to different excursions. Additionally, this camp avoids wasting water with smart taps.
In addition to that, this camp is working to educate the visitors, especially children, on the negative repercussions that arise from taking animals from their natural environment.
