Tapuy Camp focuses on garbage and community. The staff recycles organic trash to be used as fertilizer. Also, this camp employs Pemon people to guide travellers to different excursions as a way to use tourism as a positive tool for the betterment of the standard of living for the indigenous populace. The owners also provide incentives to their employees to take courses about learning how contribute to responsible tourism, including water and energy saving and waste recycling.
