Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Parakaupa Camp tries to use garbage the most they can. First, organic trash is recycled and used as fertilizer for their plants, trees and flowers. Second, glass, plastic and cans are separated from the garbage to recycle them. Third, the Pemon staff takes care of shutting off lights and fans that some visitors leave on when exiting the rooms.
